Our Veterinarians
Dr. Brian Hunter is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at WSU after which he completed an additional year of training with an internship at the Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA. He joined his father's practice in 1980 and has been managing the business since 1990. He has been the president of the Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association since 1989, and was the "Pet Vet" for KXLY-TV 4's Wednesday noon news for 8 years. In 2008 he was named the Veterinarian of the Year by the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association. Since 1991 he has provided voluntary veterinary care for the large cats at Cat Tales Endangered Species Conservation Park in Mead, WA. In his free time he enjoys reading, fishing, golf, his dog, 6 cats, and time with his family.

Dr. Serena Copley grew up on a farm in Harrison, ID and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at WSU in 2008. After two years of mixed large and small animal practice in Otis Orchards, she is happy to be part of the Hunter Veterinary Clinic. She and her husband Tom have two children, Karlynn and Thomas, and 3 miniature Schnauzers, Dolly, Zeke and Ruby. They enjoy gardening and outdoor activities.
Dr. Sara Shaw is a new transplant to Spokane who arrived just in time to enjoy the "big" winter of 08-09. She is a 2007 graduate from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine. She then performed an internship in Michigan. In her time off she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, spending time with her husband Nick and their 2 cats, Roxanne and Jaxsom.
